Speaker Bios:

Stacy BarrowStacy H. Barrow, Esq. is an Associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department and is a member of the Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and ERISA Litigation Practice Center as well as the Health Care Reform Task Force, resident in the Boston office of international law firm Proskauer Rose, LLP. With a special emphasis on health and welfare benefit plan arrangements, Stacy advises corporate, not-for-profit, governmental and individual clients on matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation. Stacy assists his clients by auditing plan documentation and plan operation and identifying gaps that could lead to legal or regulatory issues. He also assists his clients in finding alternative strategies and implementing appropriate measures. In addition, Stacy has experience dealing with qualified retirement plans, such as 401(k) plans, and welfare and fringe benefit arrangements. He counsels his clients on issues arising under the various laws and regulations governing these types of arrangements, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, the Internal Revenue Code and other federal and state laws. Stacy has lectured frequently to business groups across the country on all matters relating to employee benefits and national health care reform. He also has published several articles on employee benefits matters. [top]

Rick KellyRick Kelly, FSA, is Managing Partner of Progressive Benefit Solutions in Raliegh, NC. With over 20 years of experience, Rick has a successful record of leading employee benefit businesses and increasing earnings in different markets and positions. Prior to working with Progressive Benefit Solutions, Rick held several General Manager positions for Aetna in different geographies and across all customer segments.  His territories have included North and South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. In these roles, he was responsible for managing all aspects of Aetna’s commercial business for its medical, pharmacy, dental, life, and disability products. He is a recognized industry professional quoted in many articles and an active participant in healthcare panel discussions and carrier advisory councils. Rick is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). [top]

Brian MeharryBrian Meharry is responsible for leading the national expansion of the Payroll and Benefits Administration Services Departments within CPI-HR, one of the leading independent Employee Benefit and Payroll firms in Ohio. Brian has extensive experience in developing and managing Payroll and Employee Benefit Administration systems as an executive at national entities such as Mangrove, Ceridian, and ADP. [top]
